Clay Experiment Weekend

PRISPA never gets tired of experimenting and finding new, easier ways to deal with existing issues. This weekend, stuff’s getting dirty as we’re starting to experiment with clay coatings.

As we all know, clay has two major qualities. Apart from looking extremely ellegant, clay is a material that very easily absorbes the humidity inside the house, while boasting a high degree of thermal inertia at the same time; this last quality recommeds clay for the “position” of Thermal Mass Manager, if we may say so. In other words, clay is a material that very easily accumulates heat, but very scarcely frees it into the ambiental air. Just fine, if we consider that in summer, clay absorbes heat and in winter, it absorbes the cold.

So…is it hard to coat walls with clay?

They say you’ll never learn properly unless you try doing things yourself. Starting today, 9th March, together with Natural Paint, PRISPA team, in line with the clear objective of using ecological materials that our grandfathers used, will spend full days, learning to use clay. At the end of this workshop, we’ll be able to submit very interesting information on easy and innovative solutions of coating OSB and Rigidur with clay.

Stay tuned to find out more about what happens today and tomorrow!
